Eco Committee

eco committee

Here are the representatives of the St Mary’s eco committee. They have been busy carrying out initial audits on the school litter and recycling, as well as thinking about habitat diversity on the school grounds. They have set up a weekly rota of litter monitors who volunteer to give up one lunch break to help keep the grounds tidy. There will also be an exciting competition on the way just before half term! Finally, Mr Brydon has very kindly supported an initiative to leave the grass under the trees behind the Hamilton to grow. We want to see firstly what sorts of plants are already present and also see how much damage the rabbits do, in advance of adding plants to that area in the autumn.
