U10/11B netballv Riley

 Wednesday 11th March 2020
Captains: Lily and Freya
Well what a match to end our season of netball.
Riley brought their U12 team to play us today.  The girls as always took this in their stride and went on to play a superb game.  Neither of our teams won their games but they gave a tremendous fight and played some of their best netball today.
The U10’s played 3 thirds of 10 minutes.  They took time to warm up in the first third and were a little down hearted when Riley scored many goals, but during the second third they went on fighting to score 2 goals and only allow Riley to score 2.   We were impressed by their skills and attitude, they communicated well with each other and really stepped up to the mark against an older and more able team.  The last 10 minutes the heavens opened but the girls continued to play until it just got too wet and cold.

I was so proud of them for not giving up and again building their resilience, not moaning and just playing a good game of netball.  Well done girls.
The U11B’s managed to get a game with the same U12 team from Riley when the weather faired up again.  They found the first half slippery underfoot and took time to get into the match.  However, the second half was so much better when the girls started to communicate.  They had some super passes and were learning to jump for the ball and make some quick passes. They enjoyed their match and again should be proud of themselves for their effort this afternoon.  Thank you to Courtney for umpiring their match.
Sorry for not having a photograph of the U10 team today but because they got so wet they changed whilst the other match was being played.
