U11 Netball v Craigclowan
Wednesday 4th March 2020
St. Mary’s 10: Craigclowan 8
Captain: Tallulah
Tallulah x 6, Celia x4

We were delighted that our fixture against Craigclowan went ahead-and what a great match it was.
It started off as it continued-at great pace and with some skilful play from both teams. Craigclowan scored the first two goals but it was not long until Tallulah netted the same and we went in to the second ¼ on 2 goals apiece. Now more settled, and playing some great short passes, interlinking with bounces, we reached ½ time in the lead by 1 goal (6-5 to St. Mary’s)
A positive team talk and plenty water saw much of the same after half-time; it really was a game which could have gone either way; thanks to superb defending we halted Craigclowans shots but Celia’s 3, for us, were successful (St Mary’s 9-Craigclowan 6)
The final quarter again saw us defending for our lives but though Craigclwan won this 1-2 we had done enough to take the match. This really was a match in the true sense of the word, it was played in good spirit with lots of talented young ladies.
We were treated to a tasty match tea before heading South again.
Well done, girls.
