U11A Football v Riley House

Wednesday 15th Jan 20

On Wednesday past the U11A team travelled up to Strathallan and played Riley House in what was an entertaining game. In a keenly contested first half, St Marys playing downhill and with the wind at their backs scored two fine goals which could have been more had the home goal keeper had not been on form. Unfortunately, we conceded three goals with one just before half time. Making the half time score 3-2 to the home team.  It was always going to be a tough ask for the boys in the second half against a strong wind but they managed a further goal before Riley started to use the elements well and scored another three making the final score 6-3. A tough game against a bigger side but I am sure the boys will take away some positives and will look forward to working on the areas of their game that’s required.
