Thursday 5th December
Middle school were exceptionally enterprising in whipping up a fruity storm in Sanderson Building yesterday afternoon. All the children worked together in their clans to create fruit kebabs; a wide concoction of smoothies and a selection of fruit juices all made from the £50 worth of fruit won by Forms 1 and 4 in last year’s RSPCA Art competition. Sanderson Corridor was not a quiet zone as our enthusiastic children ‘encouraged’ the rest of the school to buy their wares. But it worked… all the effort resulted in a massive earning of £300.80! And we are not finished yet as remaining fruit will be used to make more smoothies to sell at Winter Wonderland. Hopefully we can top the total up even more.
All proceeds will go the Foodbank to help others to have a happy, healthy Christmas.
Huge thanks to all staff for their help to ensure children didn’t add any fingers into the mix and to parents for further donations of fruit and use of blending machines.
A lovely thank you from Soupalunch
