During Thursday afternoon's Activity Session, the Middle School was visited again by Mr Philip Munro from the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project and Mr Ray Louden from the Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre.
This was Mr Munro's last visit to the school. During the last few weeks we have been learning all about the golden eagle and the diet, abilities and habits of this magnificent raptor.
This week, St. Mary's became one of Scotland's first "Eagle Schools". Each child in Forms 3, 4 and 5 received a certificate from Mr Munro and we were lucky enough to meet and hold some of the amazing birds of prey from Mr Louden's Kielder Water centre.
Well done to all involved!
