St Mary’s 12.5: Longridge 8

Captain: Hannah C

The Seconds played their second rounders match of the season when they travelled to Longridge; the match was played with two innings of 30 balls.

Their captain won the choice and chose to field thus putting us in to bat.  In the first innings, the girls were easing into it and managed to score three rounders. Both teams were giving it their best efforts with fielders and batters working hard.

The first innings for the English girls batting resulted in a score of 4rounders; this left Longridge in the lead which inspired the St Mary’s girls to up their game!

In St. Mary’s second Innings, they definitely put up more of a fight as they had a whopping comeback with a score of 9.5 the girls really managed to work hard and get the final score they deserved which was 12.5

For Longridge’s second innings, they again scored 4.They put up a great effort but the St Mary’s girls worked hard at fielding and got four of the opposing team out leaving our hosts with a final score of 8.

Overall, all of the girls played with great sportsmanship, earning a well-deserved win so congratulations to all of the girls.
