During Thursday afternoon's activity session, Form 4 put up the remaining RSPB bird boxes and some of the bumblebee boxes.
We used a ladder to put both sets around ten feet up in the trees to the south side of the hallowed turf.
The bee boxes will replace the box that had a buzzing tree bumblebee nest in it last summer. We also took the time to resite some of the older boxes and to watch Mr Bell and the ever-faithful Stefan trimming some of the overhanging branches.
We now have around thirty-five birdboxes hanging around the main school campus and a further thirty on Borders Forest Trust and RSPB sites in the surrounding countryside.
Well done to all involved!
