U11 hockey v Mowden Hall

Wednesday 29th November 2017

Captain: Kiki

The first 15 minutes of this match was the best display of hockey I have seen, by this team, to date. All we have worked on during the term came together today-players stuck to the game plan, and to their positions, it was a joy to see. Communication was key with good use of the width, and of the drop pass. By half-time we were 5-0 up, despite positional changes after the first 4 goals.

Going in to the second half of the match all the girls, bar Emily, played out of position and once again did so with aplomb-always important that players are not pigeonholed in to positions at an early age!

Hearty congratulations to both teams for playing in such cold conditions-hot match tea was a welcome reward.

Scorers: Elsa x5, Freyja x1, Libby x1
