A huge thanks goes to Mr Purvis in particular, but all staff and indeed pupils from Form 5 for making the most of their Spottiswoode experience.  Mr P works tirelessly to set up teamwork, leadership and survival challenges.  The last time I counted, all pupils appeared to have survived, and have been talking non-stop about how much fun they have had. Meanwhile, Form 6 had a wonderful time at Ford Castle with Miss McRae, Miss Simpson and Mr Brown.
Non-stop talking was also audible in the back of the Form 8 minibus as they headed for Loch Eil on Monday morning, and we look forward to hearing how their outward-bound experience has gone when they return this evening.
Form 7 had an early start on Wednesday morning as they headed off to Dinard with Madame Syme, Mrs Hardie and Rowan.  Updates so far inform us they have arrived in France safely, and that they are excelling themselves.
Despite so much coming and going, two cricket matches took place against Merchiston on Wednesday.
Apologies for the abbreviated nature of this week’s and last week’s .mail, but I am sure you are aware this is a particularly busy period in the school calendar.
Finally, can I wish all the very best to our athletes competing in the IAPS Fettes Athletics Championship on Sunday.  I look forward to seeing many of you there, cheering our team.
