Drama is taught as a class subject to classes throughout the school from Kindergarten to Form 8.
Drama is not simply 'learning how to act'. It is a means of giving form to the kinds of knowledge and experience that are not available to the children in any other way. From magic carpet rides in Kindergarten through to improvised work based on life in the trenches in the senior school, pupils are given the unique opportunity to explore their own attitudes and those of others.
All children in the school take part in at least one major production each year, usually a musical; family and friends are encouraged to attend!
The benefits of a strong emphasis on the performing arts are evident in such activities as the annual lecture competition, poetry recital and in the confident manner in which the children conduct themselves around the school.
